Biography

  • Full Name: Cameron Michelle Diaz
  • Birth Place: San Diego, California, USA
  • Birth Date: August 30, 1972
Cameron Michelle Diaz's strikingly attractive looks can be attributed to her parents’ ethnic mix of Cuban-American and Anglo-German.  Diaz began modeling early and left home at 16 to model in varied locations such as Japan, Australia, Paris and Morocco.  At 21, she returned home to continue modeling and get into acting. Her first big role came right away with the romantic lead opposite Jim Carrey in “The Mask.” Roles in low-budget independent films served as acting classes for the young actress and soon she would find mainstream success.  “My Best Friend’s Wedding” followed by “There’s Something About Mary” led to “Being John Malkovich,” which earned her a Best Supporting Actress nomination at the Golden Globes, BAFTA Awards and the SAG Awards.  She’s starred in two hit Charlie’s Angels movies earning $20 million for “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle,” becoming the second actress to earn such a large sum (Julie Roberts was the first).  She also voiced Princess Fiona in the two “Shrek” movies.  Her upcoming work includes a movie called “Third” opposite her then real life boyfriend Justin Timberlake.
