I was one of thousands of people who voted in the first round of the People's choice Awards. Here are some of the nominees that I voted for that didn't make it to the final three. For Favorite Aminated Movie, I had a write-in vote for "total Drama Island." For Favorite Talk show Host, I had a write in vote for "Bonnie Hunt." For Favorite Independant Movie, I voted for "the visitor," and For Favorite Science Fiction, I voted for "Dr. Who." I lookinf forward in watching the People's choice Awards in January. would it be great if I can see the show live? I voted for them, I should be seeing them live.

Movies may make a lot of money and even be popular but that doesn't make them Oscar-worthy. This movie looks like one of them. And the really raunchy part of this is they're re-releasing this movie so that a dead drug addict can be considered for an Oscar. Wile I'm sorry Heath Ledger threw his life away on drugs - overdosing on prescription drugs is still a drug problem - I don't think this entitles him to an Oscar. The part he played looks disturbing, gross and unpleasant. Maybe that's what the Joker is supposed to be but, again, it doesn't make him Oscar-worthy.
IN 1997, everyone expected "Saving Private Ryan" to win the Oscar for best picture - as well it should have. But the Hollywood publicity machine worked overtime and a far less worthy contender --- "Shakespeare in Love" -- took home the statue. This was not fair then and it won't be fair now if "Dark Knight" or one of its stars wins because of a dead drug addict.
