Gina Glocksen, 22, is from Naperville, Illinois. She says she has been singing since she was seven years old and had classical music training in high school. Gina also plays the piano and flute.Gina has three tattoos and three cats. She says her heroes are her mother and her sister. She is a fan of American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson.

When did you first start to sing?

In the womb – Haha. No, about 7 years old.

Do you have any formal singing training?

Classical in high school.

What other talents do you have?

Flute, piano.

If you don’t make it on AMERICAN IDOL, what will you do?

Continue to pursue a singing career with original music

What are your personal goals in life?

To be rich and famous!

Do you have any rituals or things you do each time before you perform?

I like to floss my teeth!

Oh geez… I was about—I won’t tell you how old I was—but I had a habit of peeing in my pants.

What has been your proudest moment in life so far?

Having the courage to bounce back from Idol rejection.

If you couldn’t sing, which talent would you most like to have?

Drawing.

What is your definition of AMERICAN IDOL?

Someone who will follow their dream and will anything to succeed.

Simon, he tells the truth and is always right!

What would people be surprised to learn about you?

I have 3 tattoos and I have 3 cats!

How has this changed your life?

More confidence on stage and I’ve never been away from home.

Do you have any lucky charms?

A ton. 1) A troll that’s always in my pocket, 2) “Pickle” (a little lizard), 3) “Baboo” (an ugly doll)… to name a few!

Who are your heroes in life?

My mom and sisters.

What’s been your toughest obstacle in life?

Dealing with death of friends and family.

No, not really!
