LeAnn Rimes was born on August 28, 1982 and is one of the most popular American country music singers today.  In 1997, LeAnn became the youngest person to ever win a Grammy when she won both the Best New Artist and Best Female Country Vocal Performance awards. Her first album sold more than 8 million copies bursting her into instant stardom.  At 24 years of age, Rimes has sold more than 37 million albums making her one of the modern legends of country music.  Since starting her singing career at the age of 3, Rimes has won twelve Billboard Music Awards, two Grammy Awards, an American Music Award, and three Academy of Country Music Awards.  Rimes holds the record for the longest charted song and was the first country artist to sell over 3 million copies with her crossover hit “How Do I Live,” which spent 69 weeks on the U.S. Hot 100 charts.  In 2000, LeAnn made a cameo in the movie “Coyote Ugly” as a performer.

Rimes is married to Dean Sheremet, a dancer whom she met while recording “Twisted Angel.” They currently live in Nashville, Tennessee.
