Chicago native Jeremy Piven watched "da bears" lose to the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football at the Parlor on Melrose. (Keep in mind that in LA, it's Monday Happy Hour Football.) Sporting a bears cap, Piven rolled in with three ladies and a producer buddy, but took the game as seriously as he takes his yoga: water and appetizers only for the Pivs.

While Julianne Hough is going coast-to-coast promoting Friday's opening of Footloose, it was boys' night out for the two guys in her life Tuesday night. I spotted brother Derek Hough and boyfriend Ryan Seacrest having dinner together at Soho House LA. It's a good thing the third man at their power table came with his own security - LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa - because the strict members only club even makes you give the names of your +1 guests in advance.

New York
A trusted tipster spotted Ethan Hawke's wife Ryan carrying their new baby girl in a black sling heading West on 21st street in New York, mega early on Tuesday morning. Sporting Ray Bans, she's tiny and covered in tattoos (Ryan, not the baby). The couple dodged the celebrity spotlight with a hush-hush birth this summer.

Selena Gomez
How patient you are, Ms. Gomez. Songbird Selena waited just like everyone else for The Thing to start at the AMC theatres at City Walk on Monday night. More popular with tourists than locals, Gomez trekked up the hill to outdoor mall and stuck around the after party with new best-friends-for-all-of-Halloween-month Eli Roth and Marilyn Manson.

Haunted Hayride
Speaking of Halloween and new friends, Lauren Conrad and Jamie-Lynn Sigler came to the Haunted Hayride in Griffith Park together with a group of friends on Sunday night. Inside they were wise to stick together in order to dodge the pregnant zombie-ladies, ax-wielding psychos in overalls, and creepy clowns that snuck up and startled me to death at least once every 3 minutes. Let's hope they escaped with clean pants.
