Joan Rivers on Paula Deen's Bond with Butter
January 20, 2012
Joan Rivers -- never one to keep quiet about the latest Hollywood controversy -- has offered up her view of the Paula Deen butter debate.
"Paula Deen and a stick of butter is kind of like Melissa and me. Sooner or later we're going to kill each other," Joan told The Insider alongside her daughter Melissa at the premiere party for the new season of the duo's reality show Joan and Melissa: Joan Knows Best?
Deen -- a self-confessed butter-loving TV chef whose recipes usually include hefty amounts of sugar, fat and calories -- admitted this week that she was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes three years ago but chose not to publicly reveal the disease, which is often linked to a high fat diet.
Joan and Melissa also weigh in on the recent catfight between Madonna and Elton John and give their no-holds-barred assessment of Golden Globe fashion choices.
Watch the video to also hear what dramatic situations are featured in the upcoming season of Joan and Melissa: Joan Knows Best?, premiering January 24 at 9 p.m. on WE tv.
