Matt Bomer: Out & Proud
Matt Bomer's sexuality has always been something of a non-subject -- everyone knew he was gay (partnered with publicist Simon Halls for years, with the three children to prove it) but never felt the need to "out him."
Well, at Saturday's Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards, where he received the New Generation Arts and Activism Award for his work in the fight against HIV/AIDS, Bomer used his acceptance speech to publicly thank his partner by name, for the first time.
"I'd really especially like to thank my beautiful family: Simon, Kit, Walker, Henry," he told the crowd. "Thank you for teaching me what unconditional love is. You will always be my proudest accomplishment."
