First Look: 'The Bourne Legacy'

News of a Matt Damon-less Bourne movie was met with some apprehension since Jason Bourne's journey -- and Matt's performance -- was what helped make that action film stand a cut above.

But as you can tell from the just-released trailer for The Bourne Legacy, Jeremy Renner is an excellent substitute and manages to avoid coming off like Damon-light as he makes like MacGyver, beats some baddies and gets surveilled by Edward Norton.

Which isn't to say there won't be some continuity between the projects. Not only do Joan Allen and Albert Finney reprise their roles, but Renner's character -- Aaron Cross -- comes to his abilities through the same Treadstone Project.
