Honest Abe Kicks 'Vampire' Ass!
I don't often get the chance to compare books to their cinematic adaptations, so on those rare occasions that I have actually read a book that Hollywood tackles, I enjoy turning up my nose and uttering, "Well ... it wasn't as good as the book."
Although I suspect that sentence will not be uttered on June 22 when Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter hits theaters -- and not just because it stars personal faves Alan Tudyk, Dominic Cooper, Anthony Mackie and Benjamin Walker as the titular president, but because Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov lends his unique eye to the fast-paced vampire staking scenarios depicted in Seth Grahame-Smith's bravura book.
Now, the ass-kicking trailer has finally been released (via) and it's everything I was hoping for and more!
