A man has been arrested after he "repeatedly harassed" Cher, police tell ET. Calvin Houghland was charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication. The Oscar-winning actress declined to prosecute for assault.

Authorities say the entertainment legend was visiting the world-famous Tootsie's in Nashville, TN, when the 36-year-old man tried to make contact with her in a roped off area. Security asked him to leave, but he returned a short time later and grabbed Cher by the waist.

According to the police report: "Houghland was escorted out of the establishment. He returned again and was reported to have approached Cher in an aggressive manner. Security blocked his advance. Houghland then called police to report that he was assaulted.

"The police investigation showed that Cher was actually assaulted by Houghland when he grabbed her by the waist. She declined to prosecute. Houghland was repeatedly told to leave the area by officers. He left again, came back, and this time said that he wanted to be arrested. Houghland appeared intoxicated, admitted to drinking three beers, and failed a self-requested field sobriety test."

He is currently being held on a $3,000 bond.
