Invasion of the stars! A-List celebrities like Will Smith, Jada Pinkett-Smith and Oprah Winfrey descended upon London's Hyde Park Wednesday for a star-studded dinner as part of a week-long celebration honoring Nelson Mandela.

The former South African president is in London for a series of events to celebrate his 90th birthday, including a big outdoor concert at Hyde Park on Friday -- with proceeds benefiting his 46664 charity. The show coincides with the 20th anniversary of London's Free Mandela concert, which called for his release from prison.

Mandela has received guests and dignitaries from all over the world during his stay. Former president Bill Clinton and daughter Chelsea, Gordon Ramsay, Leona Lewis, Uma Thurman and fiance Arpad Busson, Robert De Niro, Annie Lennox, Pierce Brosnan and Kim Cattrall were also there last night to pay their respects to the former political prisoner.

Annie Lennox told APTN: "It's a celebration, it's a huge celebration, for a man who is incomparable. There are so few people like Nelson Mandela. He struggled so much along with the ANC movement. You have to remember at the time when we were performing for him in 1988 in the free Nelson Mandela concert he was considered at that point to be a terrorist by Margaret Thatcher's government. So what he is a symbol of hope, hope over despair."

  • Mandela looks younger than people in the U.S. who are in their 60s and 70s. He probably eats much healthier than us fast-food, processed eating Americans.
