The Love in This Club (love that song!) hitmaker has already played Gaye once before during a guest-appearance on U.S. television show American Dreams.
And now he is desperate to portray Gaye in a movie version of his life story.
He says,
“I want to be the person who tells the story of Marvin Gaye because I understand the conflict he had as a man.”
Unfortunately for the singer, a film about Marvin Gaye’s life is already in production - with former Law & Order star Jesse L. Martin in the lead role. Did Usher was just imagine in his head that as soon as the producer folks of the film heard that he wanted to play Gaye, they woud just fire Jesse Martin and hire him right away. Why would he talk about something that doesn't make sense anymore!
