Vanessa Paradis is the new face of Miu Miu Fall 2008 Campaign. Vanessa Paradis was shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in Los Angeles, and was chosen by Miuccia Prada because she casts a "certain powerful independence." Vanessa Paradis (here) is shot clad in a monogrammed superhero-esque top, carrying an embossed leather bag. She looks sophisticated and beautiful, even when I think the hair is awful.

For fall, Miu Miu branched off into sportier territory, and Paradis captures "the overlapping qualities of fragility and feminine strength" that lies in stark comparison to the darker mood portrayed by Kirsten Dunst in the current spring campaign.
