Chris Noth will not be returning for the eighth season of Law & Order: Criminal Intent, a rep for USA confirms to Usmagazine.com.

Noth has played Detective Mike Logan on the NBC show since 2005. He also is known for playing Mr. Big on Sex and the City.

Meanwhile, Jeff Goldblum is joining the cast of the hit series starting this fall.

  • I love Chris Noth no matter what he's in. I'll be watching "The Good Wife" next, although too bad he plays what looks like a dishonorable role. I'm very relieved that Jeff Goldblum replaced him because I LOVE JG!!!!

  • Unreal - I can't believe they let Noth go and kept that idio D'Onofrio - he is the WORST actor on tv - we actually laugh at him when he is delivering his lines!!!! Get rid of him and we'll actually watch CI again!!!!!!
