Elton John Celebrates the Big 6-0

Sir Elton John had a small gathering to celebrate his 60th birthday. NOT. It was a star studded event that was capped off by a tribute from former U.S. president Bill Clinton.

Mr Clinton made his speech in front of 20,000 of Sir Elton's adoring fans at a concert at New York's legendary venue Madison Square Garden. It was the 60th time Sir Elton had played there -- a record for any artist.

And to add to the accolade of having a former U.S. president singing your praises, Liz Hurley, one of the world's most beautiful women, was also a special guest.

It seems Liz Hurley cannot get enough of white dresses lately, appearing at Sir Elton's bash with new husband Arun Nayer in a rather wedding-esque gown

Wearing an empire-line white Versace gown, it appeared the new Mrs Arun Nayar just couldn't say goodbye to the bride in her.

Miss Hurley, 41, floated up the stairs to join the party at the Cathedral Church of St John's The Divine in Harlem.

The fans who turned up to sing Happy Birthday to Elton included Whoopi Goldberg and Robin Williams, who appeared on stage, Sir Michael Caine, Keifer Sutherland, Jon Bon Jovi, Lulu, Matt Lucas and David Walliams.
