Eddie Murphy has stated that he is going to retire from the movie business. Murphy is appearing in a highly publicized, but stupid looking, movie called Meet Dave opening July 11. There was talk of a fourth Beverly Hills Cop, but that has been shot down because the script just isn’t right.
“I have close to fifty movies and it’s like, why am I in the movies?” he said, adding, “I’ve done that part now. I’ll go back to the stage and do standup.”

Now Eddie has made some decent movies, but nothing compares to his comedy movies from back in the day. I justhope he can recapture what made him one of the leading stand up comics in the world when he gets back on stage.
