Lynda Carter's Battle with the Bottle!

The TV icon opens up!

To children in the 1970s, she was the star of primetime TV's super series, "Wonder Woman," armed with bullet-repelling bracelets and a lasso of truth. Now, Lynda Carter is sitting down with "The Insider" 30 years later to reminisce about her landmark role, and reveal dark secrets about her past.

"The character of Wonder Woman is so friggin' cool," the blue-eyed covergirl says. "I'm going to be 120 and they'll say, 'There's the girl that used to be Wonder Woman.'"

With a Miss USA World pageant title under her belt, she seemed to have it all, but Lynda tells us that she hid a surprising secret: She was an alcoholic.

"I was so good at hiding it too," she says. "I begged God in heaven to help me figure this out."

She sought help at a treatment center near her home in Washington, D.C., and now, the mother of two is almost 10 years sober. Today, Lynda enjoys the sport of rowing and also sings in small clubs. She recently launched a traveling, one-woman cabaret show called "An Intimate Evening with Lynda Carter" in which she can be seen performing around the country.

But you can still see her in her original red, white and blue corset on the DVD collection of the original "Wonder Woman" TV series, released by Warner Bros. Home Video. Watch tonight's "Insider" and visit Wonderland-site.com for the latest on Lynda!
