Julianne Moore says she's "lucky, lucky, lucky"

Fans of Freckleface Strawberry ($8) -- Julianne Moore's first children's book, published last fall -- will be pleased to learn that a sequel is in the works.  The new title character will be more like Julianne's 6-year-old daughter Liv Helen, however, whom the 47-year-old actress credits with being "much spunkier than I was." In a new interview with The Guardian, Julianne said that "it's so nice" being a mom to Liv and her brother Caleb, 10 ½, and that she is "lucky, lucky, lucky" to have had both a son and a daughter with husband Bart Freundlich. "I always tell my little girl that I can remember lying in the bathtub when I was pregnant," Julianne said, "and I say I wished and wished for a girl and got her."

The nature of their jobs require Julianne and Bart, a director, to at times be away from their children, however; When they are working on a film together "it can be rough," Julianne admitted. After a prolonged absence, Julianne said she likes to follow some advice given to her by fellow actress and friend Ellen Barkin.

She said: 'Don't go back to work for as long as you possibly can. Sit on the couch with the remote in one hand and the baby in the other. The whole adjustment is so enormous, and you are never going to get that time back.'  And she also said: 'Never carry a diaper bag, because it makes you look terrible. Put them in your purse.'

Julianne and Bart were married in 2003.
