Lily Allen Threatens to Quit

Although Lily Allen achieved massive success from her debut disc Alright, Still, the 23 year old singer claimed she will quit the music business if her second disc bombs. The album, tentatively titled Stuck on the Naughty Step, is still far from being finished, but Lily said she already has concerns about it’s chances on the charts.

“I left school at 15. I’m not a genius songwriter. I don’t think I’m really good at anything. I’m really scared about what people are going to say. I don’t know why. Some people will like it and some won’t. If people hate it, then I’ll just try something else.”

Lily said that if she does quit singing she would like to work behind the scenes role in the music industry, adding to Rolling Stone magazine: “I’d really like to do A+R at a record company.”

Frankly, homegirl has been looking and acting a mess lately. If you caught her appearance with Mark Ronson at the 02 Wireless music festival at Hyde Park in London last week, you were probably shocked by her slovenly appearance and complete disregard to her own music.

Just a few days before the Wireless festival, Lily put on a similar performance at Glastonbury, in which she smoked throughout the performance, and carried a sheet of lyrics in her hand because she couldn’t remember the words she wrote just a couple years ago.
