Matthew McConaughey is a father!

Matthew McConaughey and longtime girlfriend Camila Alves have become proud parents! Alves gave birth a 7 lb., 4oz. baby boy in Los Angeles Monday evening, OK! Magazine reports.

In a statement made to OK!, McConaughey said "A healthy baby was born... . "We are both tired and elated, and are so happy to have created  the greatest miracle in the world -- having a child and making a family."



This is the first child for the happy couple.

  • Congratulations !!! Parenting takes commitment not a marriage license. A bad marriage does not make good parents. Maybe people should just leave others to their own course and let them decide on what is right for them.

  • For once, wouldn't it be nice for the headline to read that it was his WIFE who gave birth to thrie son instead of his GIRLFRIEND! We all have lots of GIRLFRIENDS but good parenting needs a MAN and his WIFE!
