Jessica Simpson Wins Country Fans On Over

The general consensus about Jessica Simpson's foray into country music resulted in grudging acceptance by the industry. According to the VP of Marketing for Sony BMG Nashville Tom Baldrica, "The best way to sum this up is what program directors have been telling our promotions staff: 'I really wanted to hate this record, and I don't. I love this."

I have to admit that when I listened to it (you can listen to it HERE), I pretty much had the same reaction. I mean, I don't LOVE it, but it is catchy and upbeat so maybe she'll find herself a career that doesn't involve dating just yet!

Meanwhile, she's doing all she can to dress the part, wearing her cowboy boots, big hair and rocking those boobs. The final touch on her transformation will be one of those amazing/ridiculous sequin dresses, preferably something once worn by Naomi Judd.
