Lawyer: A-Rod & Madonna Was 'Affair of the Heart'

A representative for Alex Rodriguez is talking to "The Insider" about the Yankee star's divorce battle.

The rep tells "The Insider," "Alex has received the papers that were filed and he wants to do everything in his power to make sure he can be close to his children as they grow up and mature."

The rep also tells "The Insider" that A-Rod and ex Cynthia have had approximately one "brief" but "cordial" conversation since Cynthia filed for divorce in Florida on Monday.

A-Rod and Cynthia have two young daughters together.
