Jamie Lynn, who tells the mag her pregnancy and natural delivery went perfectly according to plan, admits that adjusting to life as a mom was anything but easy or certain.
"At first, I didn't know how I was going to know when to do what," she says. "But it just all falls into place. I love it. We get up in the morning, and she gets her little bath. Then I get my bath. We have a routine, and I love routines. I've worked one out with her, and we're happy going about our little life."
Speaking of routines, many star mom tackle vigorous fitness regimens to get back in shape after giving birth. Jamie Lynn tells OK!, however, that simply taking care of little Maddie Briann is exercise in and of itself!
"You wouldn't believe what a workout it is just to take care of a baby. You are non-stop doing something," she says. "I wouldn't say I'm as small as I used to be, but I'm just trying to eat healthy for her sake and my sake. I haven't done any working out. As soon as I can go swimming, I will."
Short on "me time" these days, she at least has the baby's father, fiancé Casey Aldridge, and her own mom, Lynne Spears, to share the workload with. Regardless, Jamie Lynn says motherhood is her No. 1 priority. She even envisions a day when she gets to dote on her daughter's playmates.
"I would love being the soccer mom," she tells OK!. "They don't have soccer down here, but I would love being the softball mom driving the kids around."
Finally, the teen actress shares her stance on introducing Maddie Briann to the family business -- show biz.
"If she wants to do that, I will support her 100 percent. I want her to do whatever she enjoys doing. Whatever she becomes passionate about in life, I'm going to support it 100 percent."
