Unlike past court days, Christie did not hold a press conference, saying nothing on her way out of the court. Peter, on the other hand, told cameras that he wishes he could go back four years and do things differently.
Earlier today, the hearing went on an unexpected recess, and Christie told "The Insider" that she was hoping for an end to the case soon. But the ongoing trial did resume, with Christie saying as she made her way to the court room, "I'm afraid we have to go back into court." Her lawyers noted that no settlement deal had been made.
Earlier, when asked by our crew if there would be a settlement, she said, "It's what I hope and pray for."
Meanwhile, two men, Ty and Steve Dux, who say they are investigators involved in the case, tell us that they "have damaging information" on Peter and that both sides were "trying to come to some kind of agreement" before their testimony. However, they would not elaborate on the nature of the information they have collected.
Just yesterday, a court-appointed psychiatrist recommended they both enter therapy. He also said he believes that Christie should get custody of her and Peter's two young children, adding that joint custody is "out of the question" right now, and that it's best for the kids to have one primary residence.
