Courteney Cox Checks Into ‘Scrubs’

Remember back in May, when exec producer Bill Lawrence revealed to me that he was looking to stunt cast the role of Dr. Kelso’s successor? Yeah, I know — I’d say he kept his word, too.

Cox’s boss lady character will “ruffle feathers,” teases a Scrubs insider.

For my money, the gig is a very smart move on Cox’s part. Coming off of the unfortunate Dirt, she needed a role that showcased her at her best — in other words, making people laugh. And what better show to be her first comedy since Friends ended four years ago than, um, only my favorite comedy on TV? I love it. But the real question is, do you love it? I think I know, but go ahead and comment anyway!
