Jess originally won a sports car at the MTV Video Music Awards last year, but asked for a family van instead so that she could donate it to her favorite cause. Jessica personally delivered the vehicle to the Casa Hogar Elim orphanage in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.
The ditzy singer has had a soft spot for the orphanage ever since visiting it with her church group as a kid. Over the years, Jess has made several contributions to the group (ok, so maybe we were being just a tad too harsh earlier), but this is by far the most notable. Though, at one point, Jessica even mentioned wanting to adopt a child from the orphanage.
Maybe dating fellow singer John Mayer is putting Jess in a generous mood. The fake hair-hawking starlet isn't saving all her pennies for charity, though. There were a ton of shots of Jess and her new man buying out the shops in Italy a couple of weeks ago. And Jessica blew up at paparazzi in Los Angeles on Wednesday for crowding her when she was out to lunch. So much for feeling charitable! Creepy photographers have to earn a living, too!
