33 Club Presents MLB All-Star Celebrity Party Hosted by Alyssa Milano and Joba Chamberlain

NEW YORK -- For one night, the Roseland Ballroom near Times Square in Manhattan was transformed into the '33 Club for an All-Star Game party hosted by MLB.com.

Roseland, a famous concert venue, was the spot for many celebrities and athletes to be Sunday night. Those at the '33 Club, in reference to the first ever All-Star Game in 1933, were entertained by the likes of Wyclef Jean and DJ Jazzy Jeff, among others.

Most of the attendees were baseball fans. DJ Jazzy Jeff, for one, is a native Philadelphian and, thus, a Phillies supporter. But he said there are many Yankees he respects, too.

"I like Derek Jeter," he said. "I like A-Rod. I like Bobby Abreu, of course, because he used to be a Phillie."

Also walking the red carpet, which included media from Entertainment Tonight and People Magazine, was Wade Boggs, a Hall of Famer and former Yankee who was taking in as much of All-Star Week as he could.

"It's a shame that the lights [of Yankee Stadium] go out at the end of the year," Boggs said. "It's a shame that this is it."

Earlier in the day, Boggs had participated in the Taco Bell All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game.

"The one thing that made my day was seeing Whoopi Goldberg and Billy Crystal turn a double play," Boggs said.

After Boggs, Bryan Anderson, a catcher in the St. Louis Cardinals' Minor Leagues who had a walk in Sunday's All-Star Futures Game, made his way in.

"It's a blast," Anderson said. "I'm just looking forward to the whole experience at Yankee Stadium and enjoying it."

Meanwhile, actress Alyssa Milano made her second straight appearance at the MLB.com-sponsored party. A native New Yorker, she said her aunt, cousin and brother were also in town during the All-Star Week's festivities.

"It's amazing," Milano said. "I'm a New York girl. It's just great to share something like that with my family."

Other notable attendees included Yankees pitcher Joba Chamberlain, who was to co-host the party with Milano, Jaslene Gonzalez, a previous winner of America's Top Model, and actor Ken Davitan from the film "Borat: Cultural Learning of America for Make Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan."   Kevin Connolly, a Yankees fan, and NY native, was in attendance as well.  Caridee from ANTM was there too.

  • Alyssa Milano was at the 33 Club Party with Kevin Connolly from Entourage. They also spent time during the Super Bowl parties together and often "see" each other when they are both at home in NYC. Kevin and Alyssa both love sports and their hometown, and, both having been on successful family sitcoms, are a great couple. This is one to watch.

  • "...Bankrate: You are a self-confessed workaholic, so what do you do during your downtime?

Alyssa Milano: I read a lot. I'm constantly on the Internet searching for different information about humanitarian efforts that I might be able to pursue. I really spend a lot of time with my family when I'm not working because, when working, it's hard to find time for family; you're with cast and crew members so much. I go to movies. I do just normal stuff.

Bankrate: And probably attending a sporting event?

Alyssa Milano: I love hockey. My brother played it and I'm so excited that it's back. But yes, I also love going to basketball games, football games, baseball. That's one of the reasons I got involved with the Touch fashion line..." ~ read the entire interview and news article here.
PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― A "Charmed" actress showed "Who's The Boss" when it comes to female sports fan fashion during a visit to Citizen's Bank Park Thursday.

Alyssa Milano was in Philadelphia promoting her TOUCH collection, a high-end line of clothing aimed towards blending sports fandom and fashion.

Female Phillies fans can now show their loyalty to the team while looking their best in the line of high-quality fabrics, headwear and jewelry..." ~ read the entire news story and watch the video here.
Well, I promised you I would keep you updated on my pilot and I am proud to announce some more cast members have just signed on. Beau Bridges, will be playing my father, Joe. Annie Potts, will be playing my mother, Elizabeth. Amanda Detmer, will be playing my best friend, Sasha. And Eric Winter, will be playing my Stepbrother, Charlie. I am beyond thrilled that I will be getting to work with these incredibly talented actors. How freaking amazing is this cast? I am so excited. Can you tell I am excited? I can’t wait to start filming.

Also, we still don’t have a tle yet. Across the internet people are calling it “Nuclear Family” and I’ve even read the tle “My Brother’s Hot”. Neither of these are the actual tle of the pilot. I will let you know when we settle on one.

We start filming in June. I think we will probably hear if we are picked up (please God) sometime in July. The Upfronts are next week but considering we haven’t shot yet, no announcement will be made about this show. If we do get picked up (please God), it will most likely be for midseason.

    That’s all I know for now…

    I hope you are well.

    Peace,
    Light,
    And Love,
    Alyssa
