Jessica Simpson was supporting boyfriend Tony Romo as he played the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship on Saturday (July 12) at Lake Tahoe.
Jessica was accompanied by sister Ashlee Simpson and her husb Pete Wentz. While the singer has been consider bad luck for Romo on the field, she proved to be quite the helpful charm for the Dallas Cowboys star because Tony took third place in the championship on his tournement debut.
Rick Rhoden birdied the last two holes Sunday to win a record seventh American Century Celebrity Golf Championship, edging four-time champ Dan Quinn on the shores of Lake Tahoe where they've been rivals for 18 years.
Rhoden dropped a six-foot birdie putt on the par-5 18th to shoot a 2-under-par 70 and total 68 points in the modified Stableford scoring system, one ahead of Quinn and four ahead of Tony Romo and Grant Fuhr at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course.
Romo, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback making his debut in the tournament, came up a bit short on a 40-foot eagle putt on the last hole Sunday to shoot an even-par 72.
Tony Romo and former NHL goaltender Grant Fuhr shared third place at 64 points. Romo collected 21 points in the final round, while Fuhr's 27 points were second only to Quinn for best round of the day.
