Josh Hamilton went from the number one overall pick in the baseball draft, to millionaire, to suspended form baseball, and out of the game for nearly four years because of a drug addiction he could not kick. Well Josh has come full circle and is in his first All Star game this year. He participated in the Home Run Derby tonight at Yankee Stadium and stole the show even though he failed to take home the crown. Josh’s tape measure shots in the first found totaled nearly three full miles in distance and he set a new record ith 28 first round homers! He had the New York faithful chanting his name and giving the Texas Ranger a standing ovation. In the final round Twins first baseman Justin Morneau belted five home runs to take the crown from Hamilton. Even though he did not win he stamped his name on the Home Run Derby of 2008 and made for a memorable night at the Stadium.
