Duffy the next Bond Girl!

Duffy has become the bookmakers' favourite

to sing the theme song for the new James Bond film.

Mercy singer Duffy has reportedly been in

discussions with Pinewood Studios, 

where the new Bond film, 

Quantum Of Solace, was filmed.

Rumours had suggested Amy Winehouse,

Beyonce or Alicia Keys could record a track for the film, 

but now Ladbrokes say the Welsh singer is a

clear favourite for the job.

The betting firm have confirmed they received a 

"very serious" bet on Duffy being chosen, 

and have dramatically slashed their odds on

her getting the job.

A report in The Independent has also claimed

that a source from Pinewood Studios has all

but confirmed her participation.

Amy Winehouse had previously been

in the frame to sing the theme song, 

but Amy and producer Mark Ronson were

unable to complete recording sessions.

In May, Duffy told Orange that she thought

being asked to record the Bond theme would be 

"one of the most exciting opportunities 

that a singer could have".
