Angelina Jolie Discharged From Hospital

Angelina Jolie was discharged early this morning from the Fondation Lenval hospital in Nice, France. A statement posted today on the official website of the hospital -- where Angelina delivered fraternal twins Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline one week ago -- does not indicate whether the babies were released with their mother. In the statement, spokesperson Nadine Bauer thanks both the medical team for their "attention and care," as well as journalists around the world "who did their best" to respect the privacy of the 33-year-old actress and her partner Brad Pitt. Adds Nadine,

The mother and her babies are doing very well.

Knox and Vivienne are the fifth and sixth children for the couple; they join older siblings Maddox Chivan, 6 ½, Pax Thien, 4 ½, Zahara Marley, 3 ½, and Shiloh Nouvel, 2.
