Following speculation that Lindsay Lohan may have bought an apartment at the new Atelier on New York City's West 42nd Street, reports suggest that her connection with the building is just a publicity stunt. (Lindsay? Publicity? You don't say!)

The developers merely offered to let La Lohan use the apartment to earn some publicity for their project.

The advertising campaign for the building has already starred Maggie Rizer, tennis star James Blake, Gabrielle Reese, and Jesse L. Martin. However, none of these celebs have bought any pad there, reports Page Six.

LiLo will begin shopping for a Manhattan apartment after she completes her three-month movie shoot in London.

Residents at the Atelier, meanwhile, may now breathe a collective sigh of relief.
