According to Us Weekly, the blonde bombshell, donning her Daisy Dukes, received both applause and boos from the crowd when she opened for Sara Evans.
"She's an embarrassment to country music," one member of the crowd reportedly told the local paper.
But not everyone had such an averse reaction. "I actually like her country songs better," another concert-goer said. "She has a great voice, plus, she's adorable."
Meanwhile, when Jessica wasn't dodging the hecklers, she was getting personal with the crowd.
"I don't know what your perception is of Jessica Simpson or what tabloid you buy, but I just want you to know that I'm just a girl from Texas," she said. "I'm just like you. I'm doing what I love and dating a boy."
She then went on to dedicate the song "You're My Sunday," to boyfriend Tony Romo.

Jessica Simpson forgot lyrics to two of her songs during a recent performance. Do you think it's time for Simpson to retire?
