A-Rod And Wife: Avoid 'Slugfest For Dollars'?

Baseball hero Alex Rodriguez and his wife Cynthia Rodriguez are hoping to begin negotiations this week in New York to avoid anymore public scrutiny reports, The New York Post.

A source told the newspaper that "They're going to try and arrive at a settlement so they don't have a very public dispute. ... The two of them are coming to New York so they don't end up with a battle royal. ... It's to avert... a slugfest for dollars."

Cynthia Rodriguez filed for divorce after rumors began to surface that her husband was paying late night visits to pop star Madonna's apartment in NYC.
