Estelle Getty Who Starred on 'Golden Girls' Dies

Actress Estelle Getty, who played Sophia on hit TV show The Golden Girls, has passed away at the age of 84.  She was just 3 days short of her 85th birthday.  She won an Emmy in 1988.

  • will never forget this talented woman.....whenever i watch the golden girls she always puts a smile on my face.not just with her hilarious lines but the great stories and advice she would tell the girls and ....ill miss her greatly! rest in peace...
