The actor is desperate to board the adoption bandwagon after his boyfriend Scott Gill visited a Cambodian orphanage.
John, 41 — Doctor Who’s Captain Jack — revealed: “Scott went to the orphanage as part of the work we do with a charity called Camp Kids.
“He phoned me from there to say I was banned from going — because he knew I’d come back with at least four or five kids! Madonna’s got nothing on me, I’d have them all over me as I got on the plane!”
John, who also stars in sci-fi hit Torchwood, said he and Scott, together 15 years, may also consider a surrogate mum. He revealed: “We’ve talked about it. I’d like to have one of my own — I think we could definitely have a little Captain Jack running around one day!”
But busy John said he’d have to cut back on work to have a child.
“There’s no way I’d leave it to a nanny, so I guess I’d have to settle down a bit,” he said. source
