Edi Gathegi who plays Laurent in the film, told "The Insider," "There's no crosses, there's no fangs, there's no garlic, it's a new mythology, it's sexy."
The movie, scheduled to hit theaters December 12, is directed by Catherine Hardwicke ('Thirteen,' 'Lords of Dogtown') and stars newcomer Kristen, who plays mortal Bella Swan who falls for the dashing Edward Cullen (Robert) -- who just happens to be a vampire.
