Following a five-hour meeting with their attorneys, Spears and Federline signed “a global settlement on all issues of their marriage.”
Michael Sands, a spokesman for Federline’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan did not comment on terms of the settlement, saying only that it covers child custody and financial matters. Spears’ attorney, Laura Wasser also declined to comment on the issue.
All throughout her nearly one-month stint at Promises Malibu Alcohol and Drug Rehab Treatment Facility, Spears and Federline shared a joint custody of their two young sons 6-month-old Jayden James and 18-month-old Sean Preston.
Spears had filed for divorce on November 7 citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for ending her two-year marriage to Federline. The very next day, Kevin Federline counter-filed court papers seeking spousal support and sole custody of their kids.
