“There has been an enormous media thing with this in the [United] States,” Ms. Lucas told The Cairns Post.
“From Isabel’s perspective, it was just a normal car accident.”
“She’s back at work now,” Ms. Lucas added.
However, neither Beatrice or her daughter believes that LaBeouf was drunk when he crashed.
“Isabel would not get into the car with someone she thought was drink-driving,” Ms. Lucas said from her North Queensland home.
Obviously Isabel’s perception of “drunk” is a little off - police on the scene cited LaBeouf as being under the influence of alcohol, and the Indiana Jones star himself said that he simply doesn’t know how to have “just one drink.”
Earlier today, it was revealed that LaBeouf wasn’t the primary cause of the accident. A spokesperson for the L.A. Sheriff’s Department told the media that the driver of the other vehicle ran a red light; however, LaBeouf is still being charged for a misdemeanor DUI.
