Barack More Popular than Britney?

The latest TV ad from John McCain (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MN2z95IhC5E) calls out Barack Obama for being"the biggest celebrity in the world," more popular than Britney Spears!

For the record, according to theInsider.com celebrity rankings, Britney's at #5, while Barack is all the way down at #97 (Miley's #1, but maybe "More popular than Hannah Montana" didn't quite carry the same sting).

So who's right? Who's more popular, Barack or Britney?

(And since when is popularity a bad thing? Remember school elections? "It's just a big popularity contest" -- that's what the losers always said. Maybe it's time to rethink this line of attack....)
