New John McCain Ad: Barack Compared to Britney & Paris!

The campaign of Republican presidential contender John McCain has released a new ad featuring Paris Hilton and Britney Spears that refers to Democratic candidate Barack Obama as "the biggest celebrity in the world."

The ad, entitled "Celeb," opens with brief camera flashes and photos of Paris and Britney before cutting to a montage of large crowds and Obama appearances, with a narrator asking "but is he ready to lead?"

The political ad goes on to criticize Obama for opposing offshore drilling and proposing a tax on electricity.

In response, the Obama campaign criticized McCain for resorting to negative campaign tactics.

"On a day when major news organizations across the country are taking Senator McCain to task for a steady stream of false, negative attacks, his campaign has launched yet another. Or, as some might say, 'Oops! He did it again,'" said a statement from the Obama campaign.

  • Well, religion DOES play a role in people's decisions.

I consider myself an Independent-Moderate-Christian, which means I have my own opinions, but those are based off my religious beliefs.

The Lord gives us free will, but we must trust that...

  • Don't be naive you religious nut. A President is decided by the vote of all the damn people in the country (that are registered, and willing), and if you think God has anything to do with how the votes tally up, you don't ing believe in Free Will....

  • Its pretty obvious that McCain is now desperate and will resort to any ridiculous propaganda.

  • Ridiculous. Two months ago McCain says no to offshore drilling, with his reasoning being it's only a temporary fix, not to mention that offshore drilling wouldn't make an immediate impact on gas prices anyways. Point being, we're still going to use...

  • Hahahahah, lol. That is hilarious. It's kinda messed up, but still funny. I was going to vote for Obama but if what was stated in this ad campaign is true, I probably won't vote for him.

    • It's sad indeed if people are shallow enough to be swayed by negative campaigning that is the result of a scared man with too much money. Form your own opinions.

  • God I hate this time of year. All these millions of dollars blown on campaigning when it could actually be used for something useful. "We don't need food! We can watch the two idiots battle it out on TV!"
