See More... Just in: the all-new statement from Mary-Kate Olsen's lawyer about Heath Ledger:

 

"Despite tabloid speculation, Mary-Kate Olsen had nothing whatsoever to do with the drugs found in Heath Ledger's home or his body, and she does not know where he obtained them. Regarding the Government's investigation, at Ms. Olsen’s request, we have provided the Government with relevant information including facts in the chronology of events surrounding Mr. Ledger's death and the fact that Ms. Olsen does not know the source of the drugs Mr. Ledger consumed. We don't know the source of the information being quoted in the media regarding the Government's inquiry, but these descriptions are incomplete and inaccurate."

They knew each other, and yea, Olsen's had some health problems, but the poor girl shouldn't have to be accused of dealing drugs to Heath Ledger just because they know each other.. Come on people! They are just like you and me, isn't that why we all can relate to them?
    I say Mary Kate lost a near and dear friend, and Heath Ledger accidently mixed some chemical substances that shouldn't have been mixed together. He did not try to kill himself, nor did Mary Kate Olsen try to kill him!

  • of course she's hiding something- otherwise she wouldn't have asked for immunity. Guaranteed she either gave him the drugs or was with him when he was doing them. She probably cleaned up before the police came.

  • i have no idea if she was directly involved in heath's death (and you know what? - neither do any of ya'll) but as far as getting immunity before speaking to the authorities - i would want immunity too , the authorities can and do manipulate peoples words ALL THE TIME. she is just being a smart person (legally, anyway)

  • She is yet another worthless doper leading our teenage girls astray. Why is Mary Kate Olsen even popular? Other than starring in a lame sitcom when she was a toddler, what has she ever done? A few pathetic movies? She is a joke and a doper. I have talked to many people about her, and I can't find anyone who thinks she has anything positive to contribute to our culture.   • Why would she ask for immunity? Did she know something more regarding his death. Just open up Mary Kate and let this young man rest in peace. This is ridiculous and it's that I want to know but for his family. My sister was killed in 1961 and although I was only a baby, I have questions that no one can answer. You have the opportunity to clear the air. So do it!

  • The problem with that statement is that it could literally be true, but still not mean that she never once encouraged him in his drug use. She might just not have known where the particular drugs found on him at the time were from.
