Should Mary-Kate Have to Talk About Her Friend Heath's Death?

As the probe into Heath Ledger's death continues, we want to know: should Mary-Kate Olsen be forced to talk about her late friend? Tell us what you think -- and your comments could be on "The Insider" on TV tonight!

Currently, federal investigators are seeking to question "Full House" alum and Ledger friend Mary-Kate Olsen, specifically about how the late actor obtained two painkillers that contributed to his accidental overdose this past January, sources tell "The Insider."

A law enforcement source tells "The Insider" that Olsen is asking for immunity before agreeing to speak with the Drug Enforcement Agency, but authorities have obtained a subpoena that could force the actress to appear in front of a grand jury if negotiations fail.

On Monday, Olsen's lawyer released this statement:

"Despite tabloid speculation, Mary-Kate Olsen had nothing whatsoever to do with the drugs found in Heath Ledger's home or his body, and she does not know where he obtained them. Regarding the Government's investigation, at Ms. Olsen’s request, we have provided the Government with relevant information including facts in the chronology of events surrounding Mr. Ledger's death and the fact that Ms. Olsen does not know the source of the drugs Mr. Ledger consumed. We don't know the source of the information being quoted in the media regarding the Government's inquiry, but these descriptions are incomplete and inaccurate."

  • Her behaviour is very suspicious! It sounds like she really has something to hide..

  • If she has no involvement in the death of ledger & nothing to hide why is she seeking immunity? To me it seems by her seeking she has something to hide that could cause trouble for her in the future. So yes I think she should have to talk about...

  • No!! i think that they should leave her alone just because she was one of the people who was called when he died doesn't mean she knew what kind of drugs he was on!

  • Yes. Heath was her friend. If Mary Kate really cares aout Heath, she should come clean, and stop protecting herself at his expense. His fans need to know his story.

  • If the Feds subponea her, she has no choice but to talk or face jail time for obstruction of justice. By keeping quiet she's only making more legal problems for herself.

  • Mary-Kate has a very positive review created about a month ago on TheBossReportCard(dot)com. She and Ashley own Dualstar in Los Angeles and I guess they treat their employees prettey well. I couldn't find a report on Ashley though.
