"The Insider" confirms that Nikki Blonsky's dad Carl, who's been locked up in a Turks and Caicos islands jail, will remain in custody until August 19.

The elder Blonsky stepped out from behind bars on Friday for the first time since his and Nikki's shocking arrests last week for a bail hearing.

He's charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm during an airport scuffle he and Nikki allegedly got into against former "Top Model" contestant Bianca Golden.

Nikki and Bianca were both charged with assault and were both released on $6,000 bail. Nikki is due back in an island court on December 1, while Bianca is due back on September 17.
