Meg Ryan and Annette Bening Dish on Family Lives

With six children between them, actors Annette Bening, 50, and Meg Ryan, 46, almost certainly had much to talk about in between takes of their upcoming movie The Women, in theaters September 12. During a recent photoshoot for Parade to promote the film's release, both women opened up about their family lives -- with Meg sharing that her son Jack Henry, 16, gets along famously with his 3-year-old little sister Daisy True, despite a sizable age difference. "As soon as [Jack] figured out how hilarious Daisy is," Meg says, "they developed an incredible relationship." She adds,

I found out he's a very paternal cat. And I wouldn't have known that until he had his own kids. I am so grateful for both of them.

Annette -- mom to Kathlyn Elizabeth, 16, Benjamin Maclean , turning 14 later this month, Isabel Ira Ashley, 11 and Ella Corinne, 8 -- says that her home life with husband Warren Beatty is probably a lot more normal than people might think. "There's a lot of at-home time and a lot of car-pool time," she notes.

Quite frankly, I don't really care that much what people's picture of my everyday life is. But every once in a while when I'm confronted with peoples thoughts about how I live versus what it's actually like, I shake my head.

Jack is Meg's son with ex-husband, actor Dennis Quaid.
