Handshake Gives Cindy McCain Sprained Wrist

The rigors of campaigning are evident in this photo of Cindy McCain as she appears at a fund-raising event in Michigan. The wife of Republican presidential candidate John McCain suffered a minor wrist sprain when an enthusiastic supporter gave her a firm handshake.

Cindy was said to be recovering well as she wore a soft cast on her right arm supported by a black fabric sling sporting a fashionable brooch. The handshake apparently aggravated an old carpal tunnel condition that required wrist surgery several years ago.
