Blame it on "He Who Must Not Be Named" -- the release date for 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,' the sixth 'Harry Potter' movie, has been pushed back from November 2008 to July 2009.
Warner Bros. President and CEO Alan Horn said Thursday that the studio hoped to make 'Half-Blood Prince' a mid-summer tent-pole release, and also cited the recent Writers Strike as another reason for pushing the release back.
The studio noted that the two-part production and release of 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,' the seventh 'Harry Potter' book, will not be affected by the move of 'Half-Blood Prince.'
The sixth 'Harry Potter' film finds the boy wizard in his sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where he discovers a mysterious book belonging to "The Half-Blood Prince" and learns more about Lord Voldemort's (Ralph Fiennes) dark past.
Of course, Daniel Radcliffe is back as Harry Potter and Emma Watson and Rupert Grint are once again portraying loyal pals Hermione and Ron Weasley.
