New Audio: John Mayer on Jennifer Aniston Split

I Like It I Don't Like It
In an all-new interview with Ok! magazine, John Mayer reveals the reasons behind his split with Jennifer Aniston.

"People have different chemistry, they have different lives," John tells the mag. "It's not about years, it's about going out with somebody, being truthful on the way in, being truthful in the middle and being truthful on the way out. You're either a cheater or you break up and I'm not the first, I'm the second. And that's it. There's no lying, there's no bullsh**."

Despite going separate ways, John, who calls the split "the most normal thing in the world," has nothing but kind words about his now-former flame.

"Jennifer Aniston is the smartest, most sophisticated person I think I've ever met," he added. "She's one of the most lovely people I've ever met in my life."

  • I adore both John and Jennifer...They both have the passion that has taken both of their careers to their highest levels. I wish them both everlasting happiness...and I hope that they both find someone new to share their beautiful lives with....

  • this man is such an attention whore. He said all of these things to TMZ of all people, and the video is on their website right now. Why did he say this because he wanted to make sure that everyone on planet earth knew that HE was the one that LEFT HER. real class act.

    And if Jennifer Aniston couldn't see this (like most of us saw and we didnt even know him) than she deserves what she gets. GROW THE F*K UP. you are not rachel in her 20s, you are Jennifer pushing 40. and I say this with fondness because I'm a big fan and I surprised myself how attached I am to the story, but I can't help it.

  • First off, if Jen is looking for fun after years of being lied to by a cheater then fine, she should have fun. But if she is looking to get serious then she needs to call me. I can spot a cheater miles away and pitt tried to pick me up on a set with Paltrow right behind me. I ran fast but he tried again later that day to invite me to some party and had the crew do it. I felt it in my bones before he asked me what type of guy he is. Vince Vaughn and now this guy? Just look at who they date and how they behave.
    Jenn, if u read this and you want a serious guy, you need to stop dating these guys. First off they arent even good looking you need a light haired guy like Jason lewis if he is straight and not a cheater. And if u want a baby just get his sperm.
    LOL im serious too. Enough with these creepy men ur dating ack! And thank God every day you breath that Angelina came around because he was a cheat before he met you and now after. Your a great person, I can tell that but think about what ur doing and if no one around you is a faithful then dont date or just have fun and get prego.   • Good lord, what an self center cad is this...Jennifer is a lovely, gracious woman who does not discuss her personal life with the entire world. I believe she dumped him and he, knowing this, tries to look good to the world. He cannot sing, he tries to imitate Stevie Ray Vaughan, who is a riot. He could never compete with poor Stevie...and he is not man enough for a lovely, beautiful lady like Jennifer.
