Bernie Mac was remembered in an emotional memorial service attended by thousands of fans on Saturday.
The actor, 50, died from complications due to pneumonia at the Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago on 9 August.
Among the mourners at the 10,000-seat House Of Hope were Bernie’s friends Chris Rock and Samuel L Jackson and Ocean's 13 co-star Don Cheadle.
Photos from the comedian's career were shown on projectors and his widow Rhonda McCullough was presented with a Chicago White Sox baseball shirt bearing his name.
She was married to Bernie for 31 years and they had daughter, Je'Niece, 30, together.
Oprah Winfrey and Barack Obama also sent their condolences.
