"My Name is William Rast" casts Justin as the title character, "a complex modern day hero, who rebels against the conformity of everyday life" accompanied by his girlfriend/"partner in crime" Birdie, played by model Erin Wasson. The pair sport standout pieces of the line's fall collection in their various adventures filmed in Tennessee, rolling out on three platforms: print, outdoor and a series of film spots.
In addition to starring in the ad campaign, Justin also co-wrote the short films and provided the score! Of course, William Rast is a fictional character devised by JT and childhood pal Trace Ayala, inspired by their grandfathers and combining their names -- William is Justin's grandfather's first name, and Rast is Trace's grandfather's last name.
